When tasked with redesigning the massively complex United Mileage Plus online booking and awards program, our goal was to humanize and simply the experience. We gave consumers an easier way to manage their miles online, provided better clarity on what they could get for their miles and gave them real-world examples of how they could use their miles without any hassle. The result was a beautifully simple experience that complimented the brand and gave consumers an easy, uncluttered way to book award travel.

Online tours made it clear to understand the benefits of membership while useful shopping tools made booking travel a cinch. We also introduced a new way of purchasing award travel by combining money and miles —giving members even more flexibility in putting their hard-earned miles to use.
