Marketing & Design

Creative Director & Visual Designer, JT Andexler helped launch the new "Digitally Remastered" campaign for the Chicago Tribune — promoting the all-new, responsive digital experience through television, out-of-home and direct mail.

Chicago Tribune

As one of the most iconic and trusted news publications, the Chicago Tribune looked to strengthen its subscriber base by drawing new users to its digital property. We were tasked with helping launch the Next Generation User Experience (NGUX) as well as a new campaign to promote it.  We rallied around the idea of "Digitally Remastered" — a focus on the quality of journalism the Tribune has alway been known for, but now in a fresh, digital wrapper. Offline print and out-of-home mimicked the look of the site while encouraging users to explore the new features and sections of the digital experience.

Our television spot showcased the new while highlighting some of the new features.

Out-of-home and print, boldly mimicked the look of the new digital experience while touting the "digitally remastered" look and message.

The new, a fully-responsive site for desktop and mobile, featuring simplified search as well as visual browse: a new way of browsing for news without all the words.
